I grew up in a very poor neighborhood so it’s safe to say that financial literacy was not something that was taught in my home. My mother was a stay at home parent and my father worked for every penny he made.

From an early age, I was never taught how to budget, avoid debt, save or invest. This led me to make very bad financial decisions growing up.

In 2020 when Covid hit hard, I started to take a deep dive into my finances and realized that I needed to start getting my finances in order, otherwise I would be forced to live with my son at my old age. I quickly created a budget which allowed me to pay off over $100k in debt, increase my net worth +$100K and invest 30K.

I wrote a beautiful budget because I saw that the number one reason people were unsuccessful in their financial freedom journey was because they didn't know how to budget and I wanted to created help people learn how to create their own budget.
